## Summary

The Shared Service (CSW) is conducting a public procurement process for the "COV - Coventry and Warwickshire Suicide Postvention Bereavement Support" project. This tender, which is currently in the Award stage, aims to enhance support for families affected by suspected suicides in Coventry and Warwickshire. The procurement process used is an open procedure, with the contract period set to commence on 1st September 2021 and concluding on 31st August 2024. The procurement falls under the health and social work services category, with a contract value of approximately £188,530.30. The tender period concluded on 21st June 2021, and interested parties should note that it targets areas around postal code CV1 5RR in the West Midlands, United Kingdom.

This tender presents a valuable opportunity for businesses specialising in mental health support, social work services, and related therapeutic practices. Small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) would be particularly well-suited to compete, as the procurement aims to build capacity within the community by allowing organisations to propose tailored service delivery models. With ongoing comprehensive support systems planned, businesses that can provide innovative and empathetic solutions will find a beneficial environment to expand their services and impact in the sector.

## Notice

It has been identified that there is an immediate requirement/service model that allows for single organisations or collaboratives to bid to deliver immediate, specialised family liaison and longer term therapeutic support to families and affected others who have experienced the death by suspected suicide for Coventry & Warwickshire. Through needs assessment and gap analysis, we know that the support offer available is based on finite voluntary and charitable sector resources and therefore the intention is to allow the market to define how they deliver both liaison and therapeutic elements of the service to build capacity. The aim of the procurement is to support bereaved families and individuals and enhance Coventry and Warwickshire Health Care Partnerships' real-time surveillance system (RTS), with postvention bereavement support identified in real-time. RTS and postvention support will provide Coventry and Warwickshire with a system that offers: o real-time death data collection and analysis (suspected suicide) o bereavement (postvention) referral and support o multi-disciplinary reviews, learning panels, and cluster responses
