## Summary

The Surrey County Council, through SE Shared Services, has recently completed a procurement process for the project titled "SCC LP Defect Reporting." This process falls under the IT services category, specifically focusing on software development and support, with a project value of £40,000. The tender period concluded on 2 September 2016, while the contract commenced on 8 September 2016 and ended on 17 October 2016. The procurement was conducted via an open procedure, which allowed for broader participation from suppliers.

This tender offers significant opportunities for businesses in the technology and software development industry, especially those specialising in web server development and application services. Companies that can provide agile delivery solutions or digital platforms for defect reporting will find this contract particularly relevant. As this procurement reflects a shift towards integrated digital solutions for local government services, businesses that excel in creating user-friendly applications or innovative IT services stand to benefit from this growing market.

## Notice

At Surrey County Council we're leading the local government sector by building on the work of the Government Digital Service. In order to provide flexible, responsive and efficient services for the residents of Surrey, the council's Digital Platform strategy is focussed on joining-up common processes, data and technology across our services. This will be achieved by using a 'digital by default' approach, technology supporting open-standards, focussing on the reuse of data, and agile delivery principles. As part of improving the customer experience for residents with regards to the ability to report different types of highways defects, we are looking to replace the existing Highways Defect Reporting systems with an more integrated solution that will allow reporting from any mobile device or via the council website Please see the attached documentation for a full description of the requirement
