Brief description: We are looking for a suitably qualified and competent Environmental Health Practitioner registered with the Environmental Health Registration Board to work as a Citizen & Consumer Protection Officer -Environmental Health. The job will entail dealing with routine enquires on the COVID-19 line; giving advice to businesses, schools, members of the public on the current Government guidance and reviewing business risk assessments. A detailed understanding of relevant health & safety and COVID 19 legislation and current Government COVID-19 guidance is essential. A Detailed understanding of the relevant Enforcement Powers is essential. Weekend working will be required. This post requires the post holder to undertake occasional out of hours duties and the ability to travel around the Borough. A driving licence is required due to the nature of the role, therefore a driving licence check, including proof of business insurance and MOT, will be required.
