## Summary

Lancashire County Council is initiating a procurement process for the "Provision of the Lancashire Refugee Befriending Service," which targets resettled refugees aged 18 and above in various Local Authorities across Lancashire, including Blackpool, Burnley, and Preston. This project is categorised under health and social work services, with a budget of £240,000. The procurement method is classified as a Market Engagement phase, and the key event is a Market Engagement Event scheduled for 19th March 2019, at County Hall, Preston, where stakeholders can provide feedback on the service specification. Interested organisations must confirm their attendance by 15th March 2019, and the contract is expected to start around May 2019, initially for a duration of 24 months with potential extension options.

This tender presents significant growth opportunities for organisations specialising in social services, community support, and integration initiatives. Businesses operating in sectors such as health care, non-profit services, and community advocacy would find this procurement particularly relevant. The engagement event is an excellent platform for potential bidders to connect with the County Council and other stakeholders, fostering partnerships that could enhance service delivery for resettled refugees and empower local community involvement.
