This procurement is reserved to providers based in the London Borough of Hackney. Hackney's adventure playgrounds provide free adventure play provisions for young people and their families. They are open 5 days a week all year round. During term time they are open after school and during the day in school holidays. The playgrounds are well used by young people and their families. Expressions of interest are invited for the provision of a specialist contract for play support and development of the Council's existing Adventure Playgrounds. The contract includes specialist training and qualification opportunities in play and Playwork, issues around child development and behaviour, safeguarding, risk benefit assessments and Health and Safety, and quality assurance, as well governance, fundraising and finance, and employment legislation, to ensure a consistently high quality of service across the borough. The contract will be for 1 year from 1st April 2022 to 31st March 2023 with an option to extend for a further 4 years in increments of 1 year subject to funding. The Council will be carrying out an Open Tender process, and the expected budget will be PS38k per annum over the five (5) year period. The Council anticipates that the Transfer of Undertakings (TUPE) may apply to this contract.
