This opportunity aims to transform MOD Information Services (IS) Support business processes by introducing new digital services aligned to industry best practice. An in-person Industry Day will be held on September 29th, 2023 in Bristol for SMEs to understand the problem statement and showcase their organisation's value to BDUK representatives. This tender presents a valuable opportunity for SMEs experienced in technology and innovation, particularly in AI, IoT, AR, Blockchain, and more, to contribute to engineering and logistics in Defence. SMEs with expertise in these areas are encouraged to apply by submitting their expressions of interest to fwsupplychain@exchange.boeing.com before close of business on September 8th, 2023. Successful candidates will have the chance to attend the Industry Day in Bristol, providing them with the platform to showcase their capabilities for potential future collaborations and growth opportunities. ## Notice Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from UK-based Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to work with us in supporting the requirements for the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) Business Modernisation for Support (BMfS) opportunity. BMfS is part of Defence Support Transformation, an ambitious portfolio of change programmes improving the way that support is delivered to the frontline and all those working within Defence Support. BMfS will transform MOD Information Services (IS) Support business processes by introducing new digital services aligned to industry best practice, providing a digitally intelligent, integrated service that will embed modern ways of working into Defence while providing better access to, and exploitation of, data to enhance Support decision making. BDUK is currently contracted by the UK MOD's Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S) as the Digital Delivery Partner on a variety of logistics and engineering support applications and services. We are now looking to develop collaborations with innovative UK-based Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) for future MOD IS Defence Support opportunities. An in-person Industry Day will be held by BDUK on Friday 29th September 2023 in Bristol where SMEs will get the opportunity to further understand the UK MOD IS problem statement and introduce their organisation and the value they can bring during a 1-2-1 session with BDUK representatives (Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Development, Sales, Programme Management). We want to hear from innovators experienced in applying technology and/or business innovation to engineering and logistics in Defence, or other global asset-based businesses (e.g. oil & gas) through the use of modern technologies, including but not limited to: - Artificial Intelligence (AI) /Machine Learning (ML) applied to logistics, planning and optimisation - Internet of Things (IoT) - Augmented Reality (AR) to increase productivity - Blockchain - Mobility including data sync when off line - Low-Code Application Development Platforms - Health and Usage Monitoring System (HUMS) Analytics Additional information: Notes: - The attached short-form is a pre-requisite to this application and must be completed for consideration. - A review of all submissions will take place to select candidates with the most appropriate skills, expertise, services and products in line with the context and targeted technologies stated above. - BDUK will carry out its pre-qualification and procurement in accordance with Boeing procurement best practices and procedures. These processes cannot and shall not be deemed to be public procurement processes for the purposes of the Public Contract Regulations 2015 or The Defence and Security Public Contracts Regulations 2011. - Accordingly, in line with its current procurement best practices and procedures, BDUK will notify candidates in writing whether they have been successful in their EOI and issue a formal invitation to those selected to attend the Industry Day, or whether their EOI has been unsuccessful. BDUK's decision on the candidates it takes forward to attend the Industry Day is final, within its sole discretion and cannot be appealed. - If you are not selected to attend, you will receive a follow-on email inviting you to register your company's capabilities for potential future opportunities. - Please send your application to fwsupplychain@exchange.boeing.com by close of business Friday 8th September 2023 if you are interested in attending the Industry Day.
