## Summary

The Keele University is inviting tenders for the design and construction of the Smart Innovation Hub, a significant project valued at £12.5 million. This initiative falls within the building construction industry and is located at Keele University Science and Innovation Park, Staffordshire, West Midlands, UK. The procurement is at the Tender stage, with the deadline for submissions set for 17th May 2017. This project will utilise a selective procurement method via a restricted procedure and is expected to commence on 15th September 2017, with a contract duration of approximately 18 months.

This tender presents a prime opportunity for construction firms and architectural design services to expand their business, particularly those specializing in educational and research facilities. Companies experienced in design and build projects, as well as those capable of delivering multi-functional buildings, would be well-suited to compete for this contract. Additionally, firms with a strong financial background, evidenced by an average annual turnover of at least £25 million over the past three years, are encouraged to participate, as this project aims to attract innovative and growth-oriented businesses to support research and development landscapes.

## Notice

Tenders are invited from interested parties for the design and build of the Smart Innovation Hub (otherwise known as MCIL / KIEIL / Hub 1) under a single-stage design and build contract. Multi-functional spaces will be used by both user groups. The design team (Architect and Civil and Structural Engineer only) will be novated to the successful main contractor on appointment. The Form of Contract to be utilised will be the NEC3 Engineering and Construction contract as will be amended by KUSBPL as specified in the procurement documents. Tenderers are invited to submit variant bids. Any Tenderer submitting a variant bid is also required to submit a compliant bid. The minimum requirements to be met by the variants and any specific requirements for the presentation of an offer which contains variants are stated in the procurement documents.
