## Summary

The University of East Anglia is initiating a procurement process for the project titled "PURCON941 - Community Based Film," aimed at creating a film that highlights the experiences of young people in the Staying Close, Staying Connected initiative. This initiative, which is part of the DfE Innovation Fund and conducted in collaboration with local councils, falls under the health and social work services category. The tender period ended on 17 May 2021, with the contract set to begin on 27 May 2021 and conclude by 30 September 2021. The estimated contract value ranges from £20,000 to £30,000, and the procurement method employed is an open procedure suitable for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs).

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses within the creative services sector, particularly those involved in film production and social impact storytelling. Companies that specialise in community engagement, social services documentation, and youth-focused projects would be particularly well-positioned to compete for this contract. Engaging with a project that aims to enhance the lives of young people transitioning out of residential care not only fosters social responsibility but could also enhance a firm's portfolio and visibility in the public sector.

## Notice

Staying Close, Staying Connected is a DfE Innovation Fund project led by Break Charity in partnership with Norfolk and Cambridgeshire County Councils and Peterborough City Council. The Project delivers a whole person support offer that tries to improve outcomes for young people aged 16-25 who have been in residential care; ultimately helping them achieve the life that they want. The University of East Anglia is evaluating the project (final report September 21).
