COHS wishes to appoint a provider to operate an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) which will assist the Service to proactively improve the health of employees and to help reduce sickness absence. The core provision of the service will be to provide the following: 24 hour, 365 days a year confidential telephone support counselling, advice and information underpinned by face to face counselling sessions where required. The contract will be for an initial period of 12 months, with the option to extend for a further 24 months in periods of 12 +12 increments. It is envisaged that the contract will commence as soon as possible following 1st September 2017. The EAP will be offered to the staff of organisations serviced by COHS. Currently this is a total of approximately 7,000 personnel.
