## Summary

The procurement process, initiated by ATAMIS LTD, involves the development of an "Appointment Booking Tool" aimed at facilitating the scheduling of over 25,000 substantive asylum interviews annually within the asylum operations sector. This project falls under the software-related services category and is located in the United Kingdom, specifically at postal code RG1 8BW. The procurement method employed is selective, operating under a framework agreement, and the contract was awarded on 27 July 2021, with a total value of £974,425. The contract period is set from 1 July 2021 to 31 August 2022, with the tender period having concluded on 15 April 2021.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses skilled in software development, particularly those specialising in user interface design and automated scheduling systems. Companies that can demonstrate expertise in creating efficient and reliable tools for public sector operations, especially those that assist in managing complex scheduling needs, would be well-positioned to compete. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with innovative solutions are encouraged to explore this market, given the project's focus on enhancing the quality and reliability of critical governmental processes.

## Notice

To develop a scheduling tool to assist the Asylum Operations function schedule over 25,000 asylum interviews each year. Each interview involves the scheduling of several resources, and significant administration effort is required to maintain this process at the required level of quality. The core requirement for the application is to provide a scheduling tool for the substantive asylum interview. This is the key interview that most asylum-seekers have to attend in order to provide details of their claim so that the caseworker can make a decision. This is a critical point in the asylum process as it is pivotal to the decision-making process and life-changing for the applicant, so the quality of the event and reliability in its execution are critical. The substantive interview is complex in that is requires several resources to be available in order for it to take place. Interviews are often cancelled, moved or have to be rebooked if there is an applicant no-show. This is time-consuming and must be tracked and managed. The system will be built as a set of services so that it can be used through a user interface or through other systems requesting automated booking of slots based on an agreed set of criteria.
