## Summary

The University of Manchester is currently seeking a contractor to supply a high-throughput hard and soft x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy system for non-destructive chemical state depth profiling. This procurement falls within the goods category, specifically focusing on spectroscopy devices. The tender, labelled 2018/1416/HXPS-R/WF, is in the Tender stage and has a deadline for submissions set for 18th May 2018. The successful contract is expected to begin on 31st May 2018 and conclude by 30th April 2019. The procurement process follows an open procedure and the contract will be based at the Henry Royce Institute in Manchester, North West England.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses in the advanced materials and spectroscopy sectors, especially those capable of providing innovative systems and technologies. With the contract being part of the University’s establishment of the Sir Henry Royce Institute, companies that can demonstrate expertise in high-throughput measurements, non-destructive testing, and analytical instrumentation will be well-suited to compete. Collaborations with academia or existing experience in similar projects could enhance a bidder's competitiveness in this opportunity.
