## Notice

This is important as patent expiry is associated with significant savings due to the end of the exclusivity period for an innovative product which generates competition that typically leads to a reduction in price in the UK of these equivalent "follow on" medicines of between 70-90% compared with the originator product. Securing comprehensive patent information is challenging and we do not currently have this information in-house.
