## Summary

The Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service is initiating a procurement process for the "PRN - 004358 - Nottinghamshire Police and Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service shared Headquarters Project." This project, categorised under construction work for emergency services, is taking place in Nottinghamshire and aims to create a new joint headquarters designed to enhance operational efficiencies and service delivery. The procurement is currently in the tender stage, with the submission deadline set for 24th September 2019. The expected contract duration will commence in June 2020 and conclude by October 2021, following a restricted procedure for the selection of contractors.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for construction companies, particularly those specialising in emergency services facilities, office accommodation, and associated infrastructure projects. Businesses that are adept at handling large-scale construction works, particularly those that can integrate modern amenities into public service buildings, would be well-positioned to compete. With the project aiming to enhance both operational capacity and public service delivery for emergency responders, companies focussed on innovation and efficiency in construction practices will find valuable prospects through participation in this procurement process.

## Notice

Members of Nottinghamshire Police & Crime Commissioners Office and Nottinghamshire and City of Nottingham Fire Authority are working toward a new joint headquarters at Sherwood Lodge in Arnold, set to bring operational efficiencies, interoperability and financial savings to both organisations. The move is part of a drive by emergency service organisations nationally to work more closely together and create efficiencies to put back into frontline response and improving the service to the public.
