Engaging with a major project like HS2 can provide businesses with valuable exposure and potential for future contracts in the rail and construction sectors. ## Notice Supply and delivery of temporary survey equipment (Gyromat or similar). * The tunnels are High Speed rail infrastructure, therefore the alignment consists of straight lines and very smooth curves (minimum curve radius ~2.5km). The maximum gradient is 2.5% and the depth from surface varies between 20-90m along the route. * Control network with baselines up ~1km in length will be available in the surface near the tunnel portals (walking distance). The network to be used for launching the TBMs is currently being designed. For the tunnel survey control, brackets on the side of the ring segments, left and right side (alternating pattern) are to be installed. * Longest distance between consecutive brackets ~120m, but baselines of up to 500 m are feasible even on the curves * The required accuracy of the alignment at any point and at the breakthrough point is 75 mm horizontally/vertically * First TBM to be Launched mid-April this year and to be operating for ~3.5 years until breakthrough. * All our survey works take place using a SnakeGrid projection reference system. The package will be competitively tendered and assessed against a split between commercial (price) and non-commercial/technical criteria - The intention of the Contractor that these works will be tendered as 1 enquiry, however we reserve the right to split the works and award the package to more than 1 sub-contractor. In July 2017, ALIGN (Bouygues Travaux Publics, Sir Robert McAlpine and Volker Fitzpatrick) won the significant C1 package of the UK High Speed 2 line (HS2). Lot C1 consists of 21.6km of high speed rail infrastructure in a rural environment.
