## Summary

Wakefield Council is conducting a market engagement process titled "MARKET ENGAGEMENT - Children's Weight Management," which is part of preparations for a forthcoming procurement contract for children's weight management services scheduled to commence on 1 April 2020. The engagement is slated to conclude on 24 May 2019. This procurement falls under the health and social work services sector and aims to understand market capability through discussions with potential service providers. Meetings will take place at Pugneys Country Park, Wakefield, on 30 and 31 May 2019, with participation limited to six organisations that respond to the advertisement. Interested parties must contact Debbie Hastings to express their interest.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses engaged in health and social services, especially those focused on children's health initiatives, nutritional guidance, and lifestyle change interventions. Companies that provide services for overweight and obese children and their families, including those offering digital solutions for health management, would be particularly well-suited to compete in this market. Engaging in this tender process can enhance visibility and lead to the development of sustainable partnerships within the health sector, bolstering organisational growth in health-related service provision.
