## Summary

The NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit is seeking proposals for the training of IT support staff on Microsoft Windows 10 as part of an essential roll-out across their hardware estate. This tender, titled "Microsoft Windows 10 Training for AGEM CSU," is classified under the industry category of Computer Training Services. The procurement process is currently at the Tender stage, having been published on 29th November 2018. The deadline for submitting tenders is 13th December 2018, with the training services contract expected to commence on 1st January 2019 and conclude by 28th February 2019. Training will take place at multiple facilities located in Derby, Basildon, Norwich, and Lincoln to accommodate staff from these regions efficiently.

This opportunity presents significant potential for businesses, especially those specialising in IT training and education. Companies that can deliver tailored training on Windows 10 and are capable of mobilising resources across multiple geographic locations would be particularly well-suited to participate. As the contract encompasses the hiring of qualified trainers and the provision of necessary training equipment, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with expertise in this area have a strong chance of competing effectively to fulfil the training needs of the NHS Arden and GEM CSU.

## Notice

Introduction Arden & GEM IT Services has a requirement to roll out Windows 10 across the entirety of the hardware estate for all supported clients. IT support staff are not currently familiar with the Windows 10 OS so will require specialist training to ensure they can continue to offer quality support once clients are working on windows 10 devices. The roll-out project is due to begin towards the end of 2018 so training needs to be scheduled in as soon as practically possible to support that project. Delivery Training will need to be conducted on Arden & GEM sites across at least 4 geographic locations to negate a requirement for accommodation and travel expenses and ideally will require no more than 3 days per candidate. As the training rooms will be general purpose usage the training company will need to provide their own equipment to conduct the course (including PC's, Monitors and Projectors etc.). The locations currently identified for training are: Derby, Basildon, Norwich and Lincoln, in each area the following approximate numbers of staff are all in scope for this training: 50 in Derby (6 x MK staff to train in Derby) 28 in Lincoln 34 in Basildon 10 in Norwich
