## Summary

Nottingham City Council has awarded a contract for the "CPU3425 Domestic and Sexual Violence and Abuse (DSVA) Prevention Service" aimed at reducing the prevalence and harm caused by domestic and sexual violence in Nottingham City. The procurement process, classified under "Other community, social and personal services," was conducted through an open procedure, with the contract valuing £1,343,619. The contract period begins on 1st April 2021 and will extend to 31st March 2030. The tender was completed on 17th December 2020 following a deadline for submissions that closed on 18th November 2020, highlighting the urgency and importance of this service in an area with a high estimated number of survivors and perpetrators.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for organisations specialising in community services, social work, and training related to domestic violence and abuse. Companies with experience in delivering supportive training, outreach campaigns, or working with vulnerable communities would be well-equipped to engage with this contract. Furthermore, businesses that can mobilise volunteers to support campaigns and outreach efforts could play a crucial role in the service’s delivery and development, ultimately fostering growth and enhancing community safety in Nottingham.

## Notice

Nottingham City has a diverse population of over 300,000 of which approximately 60,000 are children and young people. The range of survivors in the city who have experienced one or more incident of DVA is estimated to be between 30,096 and 42,266 for females and 36,355 and 48,525 for females and males. The potential number of perpetrators within Nottingham is thought to be in 14,000 people (predominantly males). The overall aim of the service is to reduce the prevalence of and harm caused by DSVA in Nottingham City by delivering training and campaigns to support the outcomes of the service. The service will work within the Duluth Model and national violence against women and girls strategic approach adopted by the Nottingham Partnership. This includes an understanding of the power and control model, coercive control and space for action. The service will work within a frame work that recognises the impact of inequality as result of sex and gender on DSVA/Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG). The service provider will promote and develop the services throughout the Term including seeking new opportunities to deliver training and leading on targeted campaigns. The service provider will be expected to actively seek additional funding opportunities that can be used to benefit the further development of the service model and promote the services and the objectives. The service will utilise volunteers throughout the service, but specifically within the campaigns element. The Provider will be responsible for recruiting, training and supporting volunteers.
