It is now necessary to consider whether suitable sites are available in the District for the development of a new 'garden village' settlement. This study will assess a number of sites for their suitability, considering issues such as environmental constraints, infrastructure and service provision, and financial viability. The Study will make recommendations on whether any sites could sustainably and viably accommodate such a development, including producing an urban design concept diagram for sites that may be suitable. The recommendations will inform the next stage of the Bassetlaw Plan.
