## Notice

(If viewing on contracts finder, please go to our eProcurement portal In-tend for full details: https://in-tendhost.co.uk/llaol/aspx/Home) As part of Luton Airports ongoing improvement strategy, the 2 escalators located in the duty-free area of the airport are to undergo a complete replacement within the existing truss. The escalators provide access between the central search area (security and passport control) on the ground floor to the duty-free area at level 1. The escalators are arranged as a parallel pair both operating in the up direction. LLA's currently installed escalators in this area were installed in 2005 as part of terminal developments to increase passenger throughput to PS5m departing passengers a day. The airport has now expanded further, with double the number of passengers departing, and the equipment is now failing on a regular basis due to their age, components, and usage. Additional information: There is a mandatory site survey for this project, please see the 'LLA Duty Free Escallator - Prior information notice (non OJEU)' document for further information. Prospective contractors must be able to demonstrate previous experience of similar work and be prepared to provide references. Applications are welcome from single organisations or consortia from the public, private and voluntary/community sector.
