## Summary

Portsmouth City Council is conducting a tender process for the "Transforming the D-Day Museum - Large Objects Conservation Specialist" project, which is focused on conservation services for military objects. The procurement is classified under the CPV code for military vehicles and associated parts, with the tender stage currently complete, having ended on 6th September 2017. The contract period is set from 15th September 2017 to 30th June 2018. Businesses interested in this contract should note that the procurement was carried out via an open procedure, allowing for multiple bidders to participate.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in conservation services, particularly those with experience in handling military artefacts. Firms capable of performing assessments, transport, conservation work, and creating maintenance plans would be well-suited to compete for this contract. Given the complexity of the requirements and the nature of the objects involved, organisations with a background in large-scale conservation or military heritage might find this an especially attractive opportunity to expand their service offerings and enhance their portfolio in the public sector marketplace.
