The VMS and PGS signs together with the purchase of a TMS and UTS will be key components for the DHART (Derbyshire Highways Hub Real Time Information) Project which is a project to upgrade key assets and invest in smart technology to assist with reducing congestion, encouraging modal shift and improving overall traffic and local transport throughput and utilisation. The awarded supplier was selected following a further competition exercise using the CCS framework ref RM1089 - Traffic Management Technology 2 Lot 4. The initial contract period is for five years with annual options to extend the contract to a maximum period of ten years.
