The goal of this intervention is to increase active mobility and inspire positive behaviour change among ethnic minorities. This campaign also aims to reduce road safety concerns that have been barriers to the use of walking and cycling as a means of movement around the city. As part of this campaign, it is critical to address these concerns and offer practical solutions. You must use culturally appropriate approaches to encourage active mobility amongst ethnic minorities who live in the target wards in Birmingham. These ward areas are Lozells, Small Heath, Alum Rock, Aston, Handsworth, Sparkhill, Sparkbrook and Balsall Heath East, Birchfield, Bordesley Green and Holyhead. You will also need to consider safety risk factors while promoting active mobility. This will include but is not limited to: o The use of pavements and footways, including any path along the side of a road should be encouraged. If there is no pavement, pedestrians should be encouraged to keep to the right-hand side of the road so that they can see oncoming traffic.
