## Summary

The procurement process titled "Tomorrow's leaders - A world beyond disability" is being conducted by The Education and Training Foundation, a key buyer in the education and training sector based in London, England. This open tender, part of the services category, targets the education industry and aims to showcase stories of learners with disabilities. The tender period is set to close on 10th January 2020, and the contract period will commence on 29th January 2020, lasting until 31st March 2020.

This initiative presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in educational publishing, particularly those focusing on inclusive education and special education services. Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprises (VCSEs) are encouraged to participate, as the tender aims to highlight the positive impacts of further education on young people, thereby creating partnerships that align with organisational goals around inclusion and support for individuals with disabilities.

## Notice

The Education and Training Foundation (ETF) have been inspired by the 'Disability Power 100' publication from the Shaw Trust and, wish to commission a publication featuring approximately 50 stories of learners with disabilities who are 'living their best lives' through their course of study; in their work; in their community, being politically active or generally doing something wonderful. We want to feature a broad range of learners who are 'making a difference'. This publication aims to engage and inspire young people, parents, employers and staff in the FE sector, and to really challenge out-dated ideas of what young people with learning difficulties and disabilities can do and achieve. We want to shift the emphasis, so we see bright young people first; and disability second! The publication will show how by embracing inclusion we enable our young people to be, and lead, the change they want to see in the world. The publication will also celebrate the great work that is done in the further education and training sector to support young people to achieve their life goals and follow their passions. While the focus of each learner profile is the young person, what they have achieved and what they stand for, we feel it is also important to acknowledge the organisation where they studied or trained. We want to hear of the positive experiences that young people with learning difficulties and disabilities have in further education and training and how the sector has been the springboard that had enabled our young people to flourish.
