## Summary

The procurement process involves Warwickshire County Council, which is seeking tenders for the "WCC - Warwickshire Care at Home Services Lot 1 Spot Purchase" project. This initiative falls under the health and social work services industry category, primarily focused on delivering domiciliary care. The procurement stage is currently at the award phase, with the contract scheduled to commence on 15th February 2021 and conclude on 31st July 2021. The contract aims to secure between one to five providers to ensure adequate care service capacity in Zones 4 to 8 within Warwickshire. The total budget for the awarded contracts amounts to £450,000, with a minimum contract value set at £50,000. The procurement method used for this process is the open procedure.

This tender presents substantial growth opportunities for businesses, especially those already established in the local care services sector, as well as small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSEs) looking to expand their operations. Companies with expertise in providing personalised care and those capable of operating effectively under pressure will find themselves well-suited to compete. The involvement of multiple providers from neighbouring areas is encouraged, allowing organisations that can deliver timely and impactful care services to play a crucial role in meeting the increasing demand in the community.

## Notice

Warwickshire County Council is seeking tenders from new providers for Lot 1 of their Care at Home services in Zones 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8. The purpose of this tender is to secure additional reserve spot capacity within the domiciliary care market for the zones listed in the contract documents, to support commissioned services during periods of pressure and increased demand, to ensure that customers have access to timely services. We are seeking responses from providers who are already established and operating within Warwickshire's identified Zones (see Geographical Map Appendix 5) or the immediate neighbouring areas. The initial requirement is for a number of providers (between one and five) to provide capacity across the above Zones during periods of pressure, however the Council may award more than one contract per Zone. Furthermore, unsuccessful providers who pass the mandatory requirements (including stated thresholds) will be held on a reserve list and may be awarded a future contract for Zones if this is required to meet service pressures. The aim of these services will be to deliver outcome based, personalised care to customers who have social care needs and may also have health care needs, to enable them and their informal carers to have choice and control over the support they receive, promoting independence while supporting them to achieve positive outcomes in all aspects of their life.
