## Summary

The procurement process involves the "Urban & City Centre Regeneration Construction Framework," initiated by MI Concepts Limited, designed to enhance urban development across the UK. This tender encompasses a wide range of construction projects aimed at developing and regenerating city centres, covering activities such as complete design and build projects as well as other associated construction services. The open procurement method is applicable, with a total contract value of £100 million. The tender period is set to conclude on 5th July 2019, while the contract is expected to commence on 12th August 2019 and continue until 11th August 2023. The framework will allow eligible contracting authorities across the UK to engage in projects that improve living spaces, include commercial sites, and support economic growth.

This tender presents significant growth opportunities for businesses involved in construction and urban development, particularly those that focus on residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are encouraged to apply, given the emphasis on engaging suppliers that deliver exceptional quality and value. Potential competitors should be prepared to participate in both direct awards and further competition for specific projects, allowing for diverse participation and collaboration with various public sector entities, including local authorities and educational institutions.

## Notice

This Framework is designed to cover the development and regeneration of urban centres. Contractors may be called upon by eligible contracting authorities to provide complete design and build projects for simple structures; or complete construction projects based on detailed designs from the authority or its agents (developers, architects etc.); or associated construction activities. The framework is aimed at driving city and town centre development to bolster economic growth, promote business and improving living spaces for residents of urban areas. The types of projects will include commercial or mixed-use sites comprising shops and residential properties, entertainment complexes, structures for public use, enterprise developments, institutional premises including universities and colleges; leisure; parking; amenities; as well as associated infrastructure. Lots will be divided according to the value of the projects. This is to engage with the best Suppliers for each size of development, utilising SMEs where this provides the best quality and value for money. Any organisation, or consortium, can apply to be a supplier if they can deliver comprehensive works as detailed in the tender description. This Framework is available to contracting authorities throughout the UK. However it is not mandatory to cover the whole region. There will be a process of further competition for specific jobs. There is also a process for direct award, which will be detailed in the tender documents. A list of eligible contracting authorities that may use this framework is available with the procurement documents, which will be published with the ITT. It includes central government departments and their arm's length bodies and agencies, non-departmental public bodies, NHS bodies, local authorities, registered providers, health, police, fire and rescue, education, charities and devolved administrations. Additional information: Suppliers can register interest at the following link: http://miprocurement.miconcepts.co.uk The tender process will be conducted online via the Mi Procurement Portal.
