## Summary

The Birmingham City Council is embarking on a planning phase for the future procurement of a Mental Health and Emotional Well-being Service specifically targeted at the Birmingham Virtual School. The primary objective of this exercise is to explore market interest and evaluate the feasibility for forthcoming procurement processes. This project is under the CPV classification of welfare services for children and young people, with counselling services being an additional focus. The initiative is currently in the planning stage, with an engagement deadline set for 11th November 2025. The anticipated contract commencement date is April 2026, and it will cover a term of three years, with a potential extension of one year. The services are intended to operate within the West Midlands region of the United Kingdom.

This procurement presents substantial business growth opportunities, particularly for SMEs and VCSEs, interested in tendering for services with a focus on children's welfare and counselling. Organisations with expertise in mental health support, educational transition assistance, and emotional well-being services can leverage this opportunity to expand their operations and make impactful contributions to the community. The procurement process encourages flexibility, accountability, and high-quality service offerings, making it ideal for businesses that can tailor solutions to individual needs and maintain rigorous standards in service delivery. The Council's initiative promises regular evaluations and stakeholder feedback, fostering an environment ripe for continuous improvement and innovation.
