## Summary

Plymouth City Council, in collaboration with Independence CIC, has initiated a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) titled "Energy Efficiency (EE)" aimed at public sector bodies within the United Kingdom. The procurement process, currently at the tender stage, was published on 12th February 2025 and invites contractors and suppliers to join the DPS from 18th February 2025. This opportunity focuses on the energy efficiency sector, covering a wide range of related categories such as electricity, heating, solar and nuclear energy, as well as construction and environmental management. The tender, following a restricted procedure, closes on 29th September 2028, with contract implementation scheduled from 30th September 2028 to 1st October 2028.

Businesses involved in energy-efficient products, construction, and environmental services can greatly benefit from this tender by obtaining contracts that contribute to reducing carbon emissions and lowering energy costs. The DPS is particularly suitable for SMEs and VCSEs, fostering economic revitalisation and improving public health through enhanced energy performance of buildings. Various funding streams, including the Warm Homes Local Grant and the Energy Company Obligation, support this initiative, making it ideal for businesses adept at navigating flexible and cost-effective procurement processes. With substantial funding of £425 million available, companies can secure growth opportunities by providing innovative solutions for energy efficiency measures.
