## Summary

The Riverside Group Limited, based in Liverpool, has awarded the TRG Cladding Remediation Framework contract. The contract focuses on cladding works across multiple buildings following government fire safety guidelines, with an estimated spend of £300 million over a four-year period. This significant project falls within the multi-dwelling buildings construction work industry category and will be carried out in locations including the United Kingdom and other regions. Awarded contractors include Breyer Group Plc, Guildmore Ltd, Kier Services Ltd T/a Kier Places, Mulalley and Company Limited, United Living (South) Limited, and VINCI Construction UK Limited T/A VINCI Facilities. The contract period runs from 30th September 2024 to 29th September 2028 and follows a restricted procurement procedure.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in building construction and cladding remediation to engage in large-scale, high-value projects. Companies with robust design capabilities and the ability to manage varied and complex works will find this framework particularly beneficial. The selective procurement method ensures that only highly qualified contractors deliver the required fire safety improvements, fostering partnerships that are critical for executing sophisticated building alteration tasks. With the potential for both mini competitions and direct awards, contractors can engage dynamically, creating growth pathways within the construction sector.

## Notice

The Riverside Group has a significant Cladding programme following government guidance and implementing fire safety assessments. We have circa 22 blocks/cores that need cladding. In practical terms this translates to multiple blocks of varying heights, which require some form of remediation. It's envisaged that The Riverside Group will be utilising the new PAS9980 approach to all projects, and this outline scope will then be developed further and concluded within the PCSA stage. The contractor will have full design responsibility for their design and the works will be instructed under a JCT design and build contract 2016 with amendments. The predicted spend (but not guaranteed) is estimated at PS300million over a four-year period. As the detailed scope of works is currently unknown for many of the sites, The Riverside Group will need to engage with the appointed Framework contractors to help develop the very complex type of work, enabling the correct solution to be delivered. Each remediation project is different and can range from PS4m up to and over PS15m and vary greatly in the required works. The Riverside Group wishes to establish a Framework Agreement with Works Contractors who can deliver the required works on this varied programme. It is anticipated that a maximum of 5 Contractors will be appointed to the framework, though Riverside reserve the right to amend this subject to requirements. Under the Framework Agreement there will be the option to call-off contracts either by mini competition or direct award, as outlined in the Framework Agreement (Document G). Applicants should note that, under the Framework Agreement, no organisation that is entitled to call off shall be under any obligation to do so.
