## Summary

The procurement process for a "Digital Forensic Tool" on behalf of the NHS Counter Fraud Authority (NHSCFA) has been concluded, with the award made to Softcat PLC. This procurement falls under the "system and support services" industry category and was managed by NHS Shared Business Services. The contract, which is valued at £147,000, will commence on 22nd December 2025 and run until 21st December 2028. The procurement method used was selective, specifically a call-off from a framework agreement, and the tender period concluded on 6th November 2025. The location of the project is based at the NHS Counter Fraud Authority in Canary Wharf, London, UK.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in digital forensic solutions, particularly those with capabilities in processing and analysing forensic data from various digital storage mediums. SMEs were deemed suitable for this contract, indicating favourable conditions for smaller enterprises to engage in such procurement processes. Companies with expertise in providing integrated review platforms and suites of analytical tools for data interpretation and reporting stand to gain substantially by participating in similar opportunities that facilitate collaboration with large health service organisations. The role of Softcat PLC as the supplier underscores the need for skilled, scalable solutions to support critical public sector digital investigations.
