With an increasing population Medway Council needs to ensure there are high quality open space facilities for its residents to access and enjoy. The last study of open space provision, quantity and quality assessment (based on PPG17) was completed in 2012. This is deemed out of date and an updated assessment is now needed as supporting evidence for Medway's emerging Local Plan. Consultants will be expected to follow the most up to date guidance and policies in producing the Open Space Assessment.
