## Summary

The Mayor's Office of Policing and Crime (including the VRU) in London has published a tender with the title "Allyship Session Facilitation 2024 (MOPAC 985)" in the specialist training services category. The procurement stage is currently active and the tender deadline is set for April 2, 2024. The contract period is from May 24, 2024, to May 21, 2026. This open procedure tender, with a value of £25,000 GBP, seeks a facilitator to lead sessions on anti-racism allyship for the London Policing Board in London.

This tender by the Mayor's Office of Policing and Crime presents an opportunity for experienced facilitators in specialist training services to engage in meaningful conversations on racism and allyship practices. Businesses with expertise in EDI topics and the ability to deliver engaging training sessions are well-suited to compete. The procurement process aims to enhance allyship skills among London Policing Board members, focusing on fostering a safe and inclusive environment for dialogue and learning on issues like racism, misogyny, and inclusion.

## Notice

MOPAC is seeking a highly qualified and experienced facilitator to lead a session on anti-racism allyship for members of the London Policing Board. This session will delve into the complexities of allyship and its role in their work. There are plans for this session to form part of a wider series of future EDI sessions on other topics. We therefore seek proposals from facilitators with the ability to delivery further allyship sessions on other EDI topics as needed. The workshop will be delivered to members of the London Policing Board, which has been created by the Mayor of London in response to one of Baroness Casey's recommendations in her review of culture and standards in the Metropolitan Police Service, which followed a series of scandals rooted in long-running cultural and performance issues within the service. Session details It is envisioned that sessions will last approximately three hours and be delivered face to face in a London venue provided by MOPAC. The initial session will aim to foster a supportive and inclusive environment where participants can engage in meaningful conversations to explore racism and effective allyship practices as members of the London Policing Board. The overarching goal is to empower all participants, regardless of their individual backgrounds, to actively contribute toward driving improvements to the Metropolitan Police Service in addressing racism, and supporting one another in doing this. The session should foster a safe and inclusive space for open and honest dialogue, encourage active participation, and provide actionable strategies to enhance the participants' allyship skills. It should reference the multiple intersecting forms of prejudice, including racism, misogyny, LGBT+, disability, and faith. Further sessions MOPAC's contract with the successful facilitator will include the delivery of one anti-racism allyship session, plus the flexibility to add up to five additional sessions on other EDI topics in future through contract extension. This might also include delivering an additional preparatory session for White LPB members to familiarise participants with core anti-racism concepts, if necessary. Any additional sessions will be delivered at the per-session rate outlined in the successful provider's budget.
