## Summary

Health Education England is seeking to commission an organisation or partnership to develop the National Neonatal Nursing Standard. This public procurement contract, valued at £40,000, falls within the education and training services sector. The procurement stage is currently active, with the tender period set to close on 14 September 2022. The successful contract will commence on 31 October 2022 and conclude by 30 October 2023, with all activities to be carried out primarily in England, specifically Leeds (LS1 4PL).

This tender presents a valuable opportunity for businesses specialising in educational services, particularly those with expertise in developing training and competency standards for healthcare personnel. Companies that can effectively engage stakeholders and translate complex information into accessible formats will be particularly well-suited to compete for this contract. The initiative not only supports growth in the health education sector but also enhances the overall training quality for Neonatal Nurses across the country.

## Notice

HEE is looking to commission an organisation(s) or partnership(s) with experience in writing training, education, skill, and competency standards to achieve the overall objective of standardising training for Neonatal Nurses. Reference will be made to RSM's Neonatal Qualified in Specialty (QIS) Education and Training Review to ensure that the key areas of concern that have been outlined in the report are addressed. Prospective providers must be able to engage with identified stakeholders and ensure that project outputs are widely socialised to increase the likelihood of early adoption across all ODNs in England once the national standard is published. The standard must be developed in a format that is easy to understand and apply across all Neonatal Nursing workforce settings. The published document will also need to adhere to HEE's brand and accessibility guidelines.
