Grant funding has been secured to refurbish the building and renovate the first floor. This will see the Archive relocated from its current premises, back into the heart of St Ives, enhancing its long-term sustainability by increasing visibility and footfall. This contract involves creating a new access at ground floor level through a former retail unit, an accessible toilet, replacement of staircase and lift access to the first floor. General external repair and refurbishment works and internal refurbishment of the first floor of Market House, including floor strengthening works, ready for the Archive to complete their fit out of the space. PLEASE NOTE: due to grant funding, the timescales for the work are very short, to be completed by June 2025.
