The new service will comply with the Southwark Ethical Care Charter which establishes a minimum baseline for safety, quality and dignity of care by ensuring fair employment conditions for home care staff. The service is also designed to improve the outcomes for children and young people and to put the child or young person and their family right at the centre of the commissioning of care packages so that they are empowered to have choice and control over their care. The specification will be split into two lots; Lot 1- Personalised Care and Support delivered by Carers with experienced carers trained to an advanced level and by support workers to carry out a programme of activities with disabled children and young people who have a range of needs, some complex need, both in their homes and the community.
