## Notice

The Annual Inspection of Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Vehicles, prior to the licensing of the vehicle. The inspection is in addition to the requirements of an MOT test and covers the general condition of the vehicle and its suitability to operate as a licensed vehicle. Currently around 550 vehicles require testing per year. Due to the nature of the service requirements, the contractor carrying out the inspections will be an approved Ministry MOT Test Station with knowledge and experience in assessing vehicle safety and general vehicle road worthiness standards. The inspection facilities must be located with the boundaries of North Somerset Council.
