## Summary

The public procurement process involves Arden & GEM CSU, acting on behalf of NHS England Midlands & East (Central Midlands), seeking qualified providers for the provision of Alternative Provider of Medical Services (APMS) across five GP practices in Leicester. The tender, titled "Provision of APMS Services for Asquith Surgery, Beaumont Leys Health Centre, Bowling Green Street Surgery, Rushey Mead Health Centre, Sayeed Medical Centre," is currently in the Tender stage, with a deadline for submissions set for 15 May 2017. The initial contract period is scheduled to commence on 1 October 2017, lasting for five years, with significant projected values for each practice, totaling approximately £16.2 million for the duration, potentially extending up to £30 million if options are exercised.

This opportunity is particularly suited for healthcare service providers, including SMEs and Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprises (VCSEs) with experience in delivering GP services. The procurement process could greatly benefit businesses looking to expand their foothold in the healthcare sector, especially those capable of mobilising services promptly, as the successful bidders will need to ensure service commencement by the specified date. Interested providers should demonstrate their technical and financial competencies and engage in the open tender process to leverage this significant contract opportunity.
