## Summary

The UK Shared Business Services Limited (UK SBS) has concluded the procurement process for the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) by awarding a contract for Intelligence and Investigation Case Management Software. The industry category for this procurement falls under software packages and information systems, with a focus on goods. Based in Swindon, UK SBS facilitated this purchase through a selective procurement method, opting for a call-off from the G Cloud 12 framework agreement. The contract originally commenced on 9th September 2022 and was set to run until 8th September 2024, having been awarded to Clue Computing Company Limited, a SME located in Bristol. This award notice indicates that updates have been made, including variations that extend and enhance the contract, totalling a maximum value of £137,120 excluding VAT.

For businesses specialising in software development and providing case management solutions, this contract represents significant opportunities for growth in government-related sectors. SMEs in particular can benefit due to the project’s suitability criteria, promoting involvement by smaller enterprises. The evolving needs reflected in contract variations demonstrate potential areas for future expansion, such as increasing software licences and professional services, thereby encouraging innovation and adaptation among suppliers. Enterprises capable of evolving their offerings to align with public sector requirements, while efficiently managing and extending contracts, will find themselves well-positioned to compete in similar procurement processes within the UK.
