This tender presents a significant growth opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSEs), given the suitability criteria mentioned. Businesses specialising in library furniture, interior remodelling, and project designs that consider spatial constraints would find this opportunity well-suited to their expertise. Moreover, the need for innovative solutions to increase shelving within a Grade II* listed building without compromising on the existing study areas and electrical setups can provide a platform for companies to showcase their design and problem-solving skills. Successful completion of such a project can enhance a company's portfolio, demonstrating their ability to handle heritage building constraints and modernisation projects.

## Notice

We would like to remodel the study room at the Central Library with the main aim being to increase the number of shelving units in the area without losing the current number of study spaces, PC stations, copying and self -service machine. The room is currently used mainly as a study space for students with the area in the middle being a flexible space so that we can hold events such as film screenings etc, We would like to maintain this; however, we need to increase the number of shelves in the room by at least 50% to meet service changes. The library is grade II* listed so there are limited number of electrical sockets in the room (around the pillars). Could you design a new layout for the room and price the additional furniture individually so that we can select items accordingly to match our allocated budget. The existing furniture can used in the design if required. Attached is a floor plan showing current layout of the room, a first-floor plan of the central library and photographs.
