## Summary

The Ministry of Justice has completed the procurement process for the construction of a new Video Conferencing Centre (VCC) at HMPPS Eastwood Park, located in the South West region of the United Kingdom. The project involves the demolition of the existing PCVL building and construction of a new facility in line with the VCC Design Guide, with an estimated total cost of approximately £5 million. The procurement followed a selective method, organized as a call-off from a framework agreement. Key dates include the end of the tender period on 19 April 2024, the contract start date on 29 October 2024, and the project end date on 8 May 2026. Wates Construction Ltd has been appointed as the supplier for this two-stage Design and Build Contract, under the PPC2000 (Amended 2013) Form of Contract, with £442,800 allocated for pre-construction surveys and design services.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses involved in prison building construction work. The comprehensive scope of the contract, including design, demolition, construction, and installation of new services and facilities, can engage a range of subcontractors and suppliers. Large construction firms with experience in similar projects and the capacity to handle the complex requirements will find this opportunity particularly advantageous for growth and showcasing their expertise in delivering high-security infrastructure projects. Due to the scale and specificity of the project, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are not targeted for this procurement.
