## Summary

Cornwall Council is seeking to appoint a cleaning contractor for the Torpoint Ferry Estate, focusing on both routine and deep cleaning of various facilities including office blocks and public toilets. The procurement is currently at the award stage, with the contract set to operate for an initial period of 12 months from 1st October 2019, with the possibility of a 12-month extension based on performance. The procurement follows an open procedure, and the contract value is estimated at £80,000 with a minimum value of £60,000. The tender period closed on 14th August 2019.

This contract presents a significant opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) specialising in cleaning services, particularly those with experience in managing comprehensive cleaning regimes for public infrastructure. Businesses that can demonstrate capacity for both routine and deep cleaning, as well as effective management and quality control, would be particularly well-positioned to compete. Attendance at the Supplier Information Day, which took place on 30th July 2019, would have provided valuable insights into project expectations and requirements.
