## Summary

The Police, Fire & Crime Commissioner for North Yorkshire has recently awarded the "North Yorkshire Community Messaging (NYCM) Framework," a four-year contract intended to establish a dedicated hosted Community Messaging System. This procurement falls under the category of software and information systems, and the contract is projected to begin on 1st March 2021 and run until 31st March 2025. The procurement method utilised was an open procedure, with the total contract value amounting to £600,000 and a minimum contract value of £100,000. The participating authorities, which include various Police and Crime Commissioners across the Yorkshire and Humber regions, have the capability to create individual call-off contracts based on their specific needs.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses in the software solutions sector, particularly those specialising in communication and multimedia software. Companies that can offer hosted messaging systems, training, and maintenance services will find themselves well-suited to compete for this type of procurement. The inclusive nature of the framework, allowing multiple local authorities to engage, could lead to further growth prospects for suppliers looking to establish long-term partnerships within the public sector.
