## Summary

The National Coal Mining Museum for England is initiating a procurement process for the remodelling of its key museum buildings, including 'The Hub' core building. This project, under the management of ALIGN PROPERTY SERVICES LIMITED, aims to transform the current infrastructure into an enhanced national museum complex with extended galleries and improved facilities. Located at Caphouse Colliery, Overton, Wakefield, West Yorkshire, the procurement is categorised under Architectural and related services. The open procedure tender was published on 11th May 2026 and remains active. Interested parties should submit their bids by 22nd June 2026 at 9:00 AM, with the contract period set to commence on 6th July 2026 and conclude on 29th January 2027.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in architectural design and museum development, particularly those looking to expand into the cultural sector. With a project value of £45,000, the open procedure invites small and medium-sized enterprises to contribute innovative designs that can help redefine the museum experience. Businesses capable of creating intuitive visitor flows and enhancing educational spaces within museum settings will find this tender particularly aligned with their expertise. Given the project's comprehensive scope, which includes extended event spaces and retail areas, firms with multi-disciplinary teams offering architectural, design, and planning services will be well-suited to compete for this opportunity.
