The CA has commissioned South Cambridgeshire District Council to lead on the delivery of the PS100m programme and to lead on the appointment of consultants to support the process. The CA has secured PS170m in funding to support the development of new affordable housing. The CA has committed to: * Ring-fence PS70m to Cambridge City to support the start on site of 500 affordable homes by April 2022 (not in scope for this procurement) * Use PS100m to start on site with an additional 2,000 affordable homes across the CA area by April 2022. SCDC is seeking to appoint a Consultant to provide expert independent advice to provide a robust mechanism for assessing the suitability of housing development investment proposals.
