Within the framework, the suppliers would be required to provide parenteral nutrition bags based on the Scamp or NEON formulas with the addition of trace elements. There is also a requirement for the provision of lipid emulsion and vitamin bags as part of this framework. Any contractor would be required to hold a MHRA Specials Manufacturing licence for the provision of aseptic products and that any work undertaken meets the requirements of the General Pharmaceutical Council and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.
