## Summary

Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council has initiated a tender process for the provision of Child Sexual Exploitation Support Services, identified as WP3362. This contract is aimed at delivering essential support services for children and young adults at risk of sexual exploitation in Walsall, West Midlands. The procurement phase is currently active, with a tender submission deadline set for 31st July 2018. The contract is expected to last for three years, starting from 1st October 2018, with a potential extension of one year, and has an indicative budget between £180,000 and £200,000. The procurement method is an open procedure, enabling broad participation from interested suppliers.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses in the health and social services sector, particularly those specialising in welfare and support services for children and vulnerable individuals. Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are encouraged to apply, as they may provide innovative and tailored solutions to meet the Council's objectives. Companies with expertise in social work, community health, and related services would be particularly well-placed to compete for this contract, addressing a critical need for improved support frameworks for affected young people.

## Notice

Provision of Sexual Exploitation Support Services for Children and Young Adults. Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council is looking to contract with a provider for the Provision of Sexual Exploitation (CSE) Support Services for Children and Young Adults. This involves the delivery of services for young people who are at risk of sexual exploitation. Sexual exploitation results in children and young adults suffering harm, and causes significant damage to their physical and mental health. Some children and young adults may be supported to recover whilst others may suffer serious life-long difficulties. The overall aim for the service is to reduce the risk of children who have been, or are at risk from being sexually exploited; and where CSE is taking place; these children receive comprehensive and specialist support, advice and guidance and are also signposted to the relevant partner agencies. The contract is for 3 years (36 Months) with an indicative budget in the region of PS180k- PS200k and with the option to extend for a further year or 12 months. There is also a possibility that the scope of service provision may need to be increased during the lifetime of the contract due to anecdotal evidence of increasing numbers of exploitation. Although, at present, these are unknown variables, any increases in service provision will be limited to 50% of the original contract value.
