The core functions of the marketplace are to: * publish and share solutions - A solution exchange for publishing and sharing curated solutions that use FDP data, created both within and outside of the NHS ecosystem. * Discover and download solutions - A catalogue to find published solutions and the mechanism to download them within their local NHS environment. * Incentivise publishers - Publishers can be incentivised to encourage wider use of their solutions. NHS England expects to fund the Marketplace to deliver these capabilities, however, it is keen, as outlined in pages 4 and 5 of the RFI, to explore ways in which the Marketplace may become self-sufficient over time; either as a whole stand-alone Marketplace, or for certain functions of the Marketplace.
