## Summary

The London Borough of Camden is conducting a tender for the "Perinatal Mental Health Community Peer Support Service," aimed at enhancing support for pregnant women and new mothers facing mild-to-moderate anxiety and depression. This procurement falls under the health and social work services industry category and is located in London, United Kingdom. The tender period is set to end on 18 October 2021, with a total contract value of £440,000 allocated over a four-year span commencing on 1 April 2022. The minimum value for quotations is £110,000, and the procurement is classified under 'Other' methods.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses focused on mental health services, particularly those experienced in community support programmes. Companies that provide training for peer supporters or have a strong understanding of the needs of diverse community groups, such as Black, Asian, and Ethnic Minority families, will be particularly well-suited to compete. Additionally, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary and community sector organisations (VCSEs) may find this contract aligns with their service offerings and mission, facilitating meaningful engagement with underrepresented populations.

## Notice

The London Borough of Camden ('the Council') is seeking to award a contract for the provision of a Perinatal Mental Health Community Peer Support Service. The current service works with pregnant women and new mothers who are experiencing mild-to-moderate anxiety and depression. The service provides them with practical and emotional support, with significant involvement from people who themselves have overcome similar mental health problems. In commissioning this service going forwards, following stakeholder engagement, the provider will be asked to enhance the service by: * Stretching provision to include infants up to the age of two (i.e. the first 1001 days of life, in line with the NHS long term plan) * Engaging fathers as well as mothers * Providing good quality support and incentives for unpaid peer supporters * Ensuring there is a particular focus on Black, Asian and Ethnic Minority communities who are underrepresented in services * Being required to liaise with other under 5s services in Camden to offer provision in 'close to home' locations e.g. at local community venues or children's centres where possible To enable the delivery of the enhanced service, the value of this contract has been increased by PS40,000 per annum compared to the current budget with the total contract value now PS440,000 over the 4 year contract period. This budget should be considered as a maximum value. The council retains the right to reject any Quotation submitted with a total price in excess of the budget for the service. The contract will be for a period of 4 years commencing on 1 April 2022. Full details of the service requirements are set out in the ITQ Pack.
