## Summary

The procurement process initiated by Merseyside Police - Procurement Department seeks to secure Child Sexual Exploitation Support Services, aimed at providing therapeutic care and counselling for young victims of CSE aged 12 to 18 years. This open tender, classified under guidance and counselling services (CPV code: 85312300), is active and has a contract value of £125,000, with a minimum bid value of £100,000. The tender period will close on 22nd February 2016, and the contract is expected to begin on 1st April 2016, lasting until 31st March 2017. Services will be delivered in the North West of England.

This tender presents compelling opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) that specialise in therapeutic and counselling services or have experience in safeguarding vulnerable groups. By participating in this tender, businesses can contribute significantly to addressing child sexual exploitation while growing their portfolio in the social services sector. The nature of the service requires providers to build resilience within families, making it an ideal niche for organisations with expertise in both support services and community engagement.

## Notice

Aims of the support service for victims of CSE are split into two main areas of focus: * Prevention - Raise the level of professional and public awareness of the negative effects of sexual exploitation and the role that communities can play in helping tackle this issue. * Young people who are victims of CSE, - the service will provide in depth, long term therapeutic care and counselling, along with helping to identify suitable accommodation where necessary and help to manage pre and post court challenges in cases where it is required. The Service will need to be delivered to young people predominantly aged 12 to 18 years old, where there is evidence to suggest exploitation and where it is assessed that positive outcome will be achievable through this intervention. For all young people (at whatever level of the continuum of need) risk management strategies need to be agreed and included in the plan for the young person. In all cases, workers will help to build resilience in families so that they can meet the needs of their children appropriately.
