## Summary

The Ministry of Defence is initiating a procurement process for the provision of in-service support for Chemical Sense Training Equipment (CSTE) VTN, located in the UK. This tender, classified under repair and maintenance services of security and defence materials, is currently in the planning stage, with a key milestone set for engagement ending on 14th March 2022. The original competitive notice for this requirement was issued on 13th September 2021, but due to a lack of competitive tenders, the Authority is proceeding with a single-source procurement method for transparency.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses in the defence and security sector, particularly those with expertise in maintenance and support services for specialised training equipment. Suitable applicants may include small and medium enterprises (SMEs) capable of providing the required support and training services for equipment previously supplied by Argon Electronics (UK) Ltd. Companies that can manage equipment repairs, configurations, and technical training are especially well-placed to compete in this procurement process.
