## Summary

Birmingham City Council is seeking to establish a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for Mentoring and Positive Activity Services specifically aimed at Young Offenders and those at risk of offending. This procurement process, categorised under social work and related services, is scheduled to commence on 1st December 2021 and will last for an initial period of five years, with the possibility of extending for an additional three years based on performance. Interested providers must submit their applications by the deadline of 24th November 2021, and the process will be conducted using a selective method with a restricted procedure above the threshold.

This tender offers significant growth opportunities for businesses specialising in social services, mentoring, and youth support initiatives, especially those providing therapeutic interventions, career training, or community engagement programmes. Companies with expertise in specialised areas such as anger management, anti-knife crime initiatives, and resilience-building workshops would be particularly well-suited to participate. The DPS framework not only allows for direct awards but also mini competitions, creating a competitive landscape for both established firms and smaller enterprises looking to expand their services in the social and community sector.
